Carnival

Taking pictures with a flash has never revealed any good results for me. I prefer to take what I get with a hand held longer exposure. This was an interesting picture taken at the Alicante carnival, or more like a city dressing up party in the streets. The movement of the candles flame and the highlights in the mask produce a very mysterious image. A lot of religious days in Spain involve often scary, macabre or devilish images.
