Momento Salamanca ‘iota’ is the first in a series of limited edition artworks by the artist JG Castela, created whilst on a residency in Salamanca, Spain, during the summer of 2008.

Momento Salamanca is a collection of the 76 instants or moments defined by the animated figure seen at various pedestrian street crossings in the city.

Breaking the image down into individual ‘cells’, gives a specific character and identity to each cell, but which when animated creates a single identity.

Momento Salamanca ‘iota’ es la primera de una serie de obras de arte de edición limitada del artista JG Castela, realizada durante su estancia en Salamanca, España, en el verano del 2008.

Momento Salamanca es una colección de los 76 instantes o momentos definidos por el cruce de la figura peatonal animada, visto en diversos semáforos de la ciudad.

Al dividir la imagen en “células” se le da un carácter específico y una identidad a cada célula, pero cuando la imagen es animada se obtiene una única identidad.
